I know you've proberbly seen this photo in the "Sites" section, but I was looking though my photos again and noticed it was different to the other Coppers. Note the small blue/green dots on the rearwings. Also it had a green sheen to it that I'd never seen before. After looking at other ph...

The Copper had a nice green sheen to it, difficult to capture on camera.
Not too bad though, the weather was really cloudy and the sun was coming out for 5 mins at a time :-)

Yes Pete I think its a great idea, especially photo's of the Entrances and of locations of specific species (like where you found those Purple Hairstreaks) etc. Here is a couple of photos from Arnside, no good for reference but nice to share. Same up here in the North East, the Painted Ladys are outnumbering the Red Admirals and Even the Peacocks.

I've seen only 1 Small Tortoiseshell though :-(

I like the small ones, the ones in the "blue" family.

I do really like the Painted Lady though, and the Small Tortoiseshell has always been one of my favourites.

It cant be Small Copper, they have the typical "blue" eyes.
