May have seen you there. I spent nearly three hours at Alner's Gorse yesterday (Saturday) afternoon but no sign of any Brown Hairstreaks. Thanks to those that have replied to the thread so far.

It was on a small hawthorn in the middle of the clearing. There were some guys present who got plenty of video and stills of it.

Is it possible they could have arrived last year (during the very hot prolonged summer) and just emerged?

Hi I will be in Dorset during mid August and was hoping to try the above sites for Brown Hairstreak. Does anybody know how reliable these sites are?
