Essex Bertie Thanks for confirming for me. First time I've noticed them - I actually thought it was a dying leaf on the shrub at first. Poor chap - they were not there today so I hope Mr Swallowtail is off enjoying himself after an afternoon's nap :D Having looked up what they look like at the cater...

New member - first sighting
Hello all. I'm a new member. Spotted the first butterfly of the year in my garden yesterday. A peacock. Sadly it didn't visit any of the flowers (not that there are many) but it certainly spent a good while sunning itself.
