A butterfly's perspective Cheesed off Painted Lady I have just flown half way across Europe, across the English Channel. Managed to reach a nice, well known wood in Surrey, and the sun disappears. Both photos were taken at Chiddingfold Wood today. The first photo i worked hard for. The second photo was just a snap shot, sometimes you get lucky.

I revisited the Small Tortoiseshell ovum i found two weeks ago, and something has been helping itself to the contents of the eggs. Hopefully another visit from the hungry little critter will not be imminent.
