Hi David, Yes the female skipper is Foulquier's. Gorgeous creature isn't she. The Dusky Heaths were all over the track, and beside the road leading to the village, as were the Black Satyr's and False Graylings. Friends of mine visited Trelissick Gardens near Truro today and photographed a Painted Lady. This warm sunny spell here in Cornwall obviously brought it out of hibernation.

Hi Guy, Thanks for your comment. I haven't yet found out what spider it is, but it's quite amusing watching it carefully sneak up on the alciphron steady itself, wiggle it's abdomen before jumping and missing.
