Re: Historical Somerset Plebejus argus.

Hi Peter, Re your question: Mark - is there any mention of the Langport Plebejus argus in the Dale diaries? There could be but its not something I have looked for ... Dale’s daily journals and detailed books of records comprise an impressive 57 volumes. In addition, there are over 5000 letters from ...

Re: Historical Somerset Plebejus argus.

The alcon is listed in Dale, C. W., 1890. The History of our British Butterflies (page 60) as follows: Var. b . Hi Guy,

I'm not sure about the Heliconid (a difficult group) but the other looks like a male Charaxes protoclea.

Hi Guy, An interesting post and one that has re-wetted my appetite ... The "friend" looks like Papilio lowi (Great Yellow Mormon) I agree with Pete on this, though the group can be difficult due to the likelihood that all subspecies, forms and variations will interbreed, especially in capt...

Hi Simon. I have a couple of photos I'd like to insert, but can't find any instructions as to how to do this. Can anyone offer a step-by-step guide to inserting photos, please? When writing your post do the following: Firstly ensure that the image is sized to no more than 1200x1200. 1. Select the Up...
