The second one is a Loew's Blue from the Antalya coast, this species is just awesomely beautiful as it flits in numb...

I would like to canvas opinions regarding the following aurinia photos, and whether they would be seen as glaciegenita or debilis or both! I would appreciate thoughts on it's status, and whether species/ subspecies favoured by our peers? 09 E_edited-1.jpg 110702 E.jpg 110707 E.jpg 110708 E.jpg 13070...

All being well I will be travelling to Bormio in the first 2 weeks of July to seek out some interesting species I hope. I wonder if anyone has any knowledge of the area they feel they could share. I hope to visit the Stelvio pass, Val Fraele, Santa Catarina areas, and possibly go as far as Trafoi, d...

Thanks Guy.. will see if anyone else comments but that sounds promising to me :D In fact, these other 2 images of different individuals were taken at the same site, a closed wing male which just might be hyrax and a rather worn male with open wings, the latter ?? acteon IMG_4612_edited-1.jpg IMG_462...

Levantine ?
This one I just assumed to me Small Skipper, but she is from Turkey, in the right region, and some pics suggest she might be Levantine, any guidance from anyone would be greatly valued, and I suspect there will be no fixed answer. The overall wing shape, along with the greenish tints made me think. ...

May I suggest the erebia is meolans, Piedmont Ringlet, as I think I just see a displaced forewing apical spot in s6... admittedly a bit late in the season but (???) ![Confused :?](./images/smilies/icon_confused.gif)
