hi Matsukaze, thanks for the id. on the moth at ketton. there was some of these and a mother shipton that had me going, before i got my eye in, looking for skippers.

grizzled skipper. ketton quarry.
went to ketton quarry near stamford on sun. 3rd june, saw 6 grizzed skipper. 6 green hairstreak, common blues &small heaths. walking down the hill on the main path, the part of the quarry on the right was best. dont know what the moth is in first pic. http://upload8.postimage.org/681135/uk2.jpg ...

i like markhows would like to visit salcey forest to see wood white, the forest looks like a large area. does anyone have any info. on traditional sites in the forest, or info from recent visits. this would help me as i have diff. walking after a recent opperation.
