Contributions to this website are always very welcome! This page contains guidelines for contributors.

Articles, Reviews, Trip Reports

Articles, reviews and trip reports are some of the most valuable contributions a member can make. All such items are now made available on the Dispar website, a sister website of UK Butterflies, where detailed contributing guidelines can also be found.

Photos for the Species Pages

We receive a large number of images that are candidates for being shown on the species pages of the website. Members registered on the forums should use one of the following mechanisms to upload their images and rest assured that you will be contacted by one of the moderators if any of your images have been selected for inclusion:

• Posting an image in a forum thread.
• Posting an image in a personal diary.
• Posting an image in a competition.

Photos that are of particular interest are those that fill gaps in the main species pages. Gaps can be determined from this page.

Videos for the Species Pages

The website allows forum members to also contribute YouTube videos. Any member wanting to contribute their video should proceed as follows:

• Upload the video to YouTube.
• Send a link to the video to one of the moderators.

Policy

• No contributions will be sent on to a third party.
• There is no guarantee that your contribution will be included. A reason will be given if this is the case.
• The copyright of each contribution will remain with the contributor, and the copyright shown on this website.
• A contributor can withdraw their contributions at any time, and their contributions will be removed from this website.
