A single male was captured in Torquay in Devon in September 1936. This species is not known to migrate and, although this species could conceivably have been carried across the Channel by the wind, its normal flight period is from May to June, whereas this specimen was seen in September.

Glaucopsyche alexis

This species was first defined in Poda (1761) as shown here (type locality: Graz, Austria).
