A very unusual sighting of a male Orange-tip was reported on Dartmoor on 3rd October by Megan Lowe. Photograph available on Twitter https://twitter.com/naturemeg/status/10 ... pdates.php
Another sighting from Gloucestershire in mid-September was reported in the same feed by Professor Adam Hart

Now that is an aberration that I would love to see! I keep looking. A friend of mine found an ab schmidtii close to where I grew up in Lincolnshire many years ago and it has been the stuff of dreams for me ever since to find one...

Agreed. You get two for the price of one with this aberration. Wonderful sighting.

A female Long-tailed Blue was photographed at Ipswich by Matthew Garnham on 18th October. Reported on BC Suffolk Branch Twitter page https://twitter.com/savebutterflies/sta ... 2085154816

A male Long-tailed Blue was then photographed at Crayford Marshes on 29th October by Mike Robinson. One was also seen in the same location on 19th October, so it may be the same individual. Reported on Twitter https://twitter.com/MikeFRobinson/statu ... 7185861632
