Back on the 21/7/18, i was fortunate to come across a fresh looking female Chalk hill Blue, just as i was leaving this site, in order to drive to my final site of the day. Location - Queensdown Warren, Kent. Time - approx 6.00pm.

Once again (like my recent Adonis Blue thread) this butterfly is photographed on its chosen "natural" perches.
Most of my images are uncropped, unless stated otherwise.
Cameras used were - Panasonic FZ150/Polaroid 500D close up filter/lens. Nikon V1/FT1 adapter/Sigma 150mm macro lens.

Comparison images using the 2 camera set ups on the day.
First image is with the Panasonic FZ150/Polaroid close up filter...Image is not cropped.
This camera is quick an easy to use, light weight in the hand, fast focus etc...you can easily shoot one handed!

Second image is with the Nikon V1/FT1 Adapter/Sigma 150mm macro lens...Image is cropped some.
This camera/set up is not that easy to use, it has a few problems, such as - You lose the ability to choose a focus point(because of the FT1 adapter) which means you can only focus centrally. Also it feels unnatural in the hand, the large size of the lens, an the small size of the camera body means, its top/front heavy, an you generally need both hands to hold/use it.
Final image is from the Nikon V1 set up...This image is not cropped at all, but it shows the "draw backs" of only having one central focus point to choose from(when the FT1 adapter is used).
