A Large Tortoiseshell was seen by Bob Ford at Warmwell gravel pits near Crossways, Dorset on 8th May. Reported on the Dorset BC branch website

A significant event this month was the translocation of Chequered Skippers (31 females and 11 males) to Rockhingham Forest, Northamptonshire on 24th May as part of a re-introduction project. The source population was from Belgium. Reported on Butterfly Conservation website
