Visited Jones Rough south of Oswestry today 6th May . PBF's are on the wing along with plentiful speckled woods, green veined whites, orange tips and green hairstreak. Strange to see narcissi still flowering alongside blackthorn and hawthorn.

Certainly been a queer spring thus far, Chris, but good to hear that PBFs are on the wing further north. We should have a decent fortnight ahead of us with this species.
