I wonder if anybody can help with the ID of this clouded yellow. I took the picture in South Western Bulgaria near Bansko. I had identified this as a clouded yellow, however I am not 100% sure now because the black markings are very wide on this specimen. Can somebody with good knowledge of the area confirm what it is?

Sylvie, I think your first thoughts were correct. The only other possibility in that area is Berger's C-Y. which it obviously isn't. The Balkan Clouded Yellow can also be excluded, which has a much richer reddish orange colouring, and anyway does not apparently occur in the Pirin Mts.
