Notes and Views - January 2018

Post by Vince Massimo »

A January Speckled Wood sighting has been the norm over the past few years, but it is unusual to get a report of a larva of this species pupating in the winter. This comes from Linda Morris in Cardiff, who found a larva on 22nd January which then pupated by 28th. Reported on South Wales BC Twitter feed (with photos) https://twitter.com/BCSouthWales/status ... 8346552320
