Caterpillar Identification

Post by Stevie Blunder »

I need a caterpillar identified please. It was photographed in my back garden in the Forest of Dean in August 2010. Many thanks.

Hi Stevie. It looks like a particularly pale, pale tussock moth (Calliteara pudibunda). Most caterpillars are more yellowish but they can be almost white.
