Hello all,
Can anyone tell me if the foodplants of the larvae ( or where the eggs are laid ) are the same as the foodplants of the grown up?
I can see from the foodplants link above what the Common Blue will eat but am not sure if that neccessarily relates to what the caterpillars eat , so I could be looking in completely the wrong places !
many thanks
Martin

ok - first common blue sighting this year for me today - nowhere more exotic than the front garden - very small and fading to a lighter crystal blue towards the body ( I assume that is a common blue ! ) . The little blighter settled down just long enough for me *not* to get my camera before flying orf - oh well ![Smile :-)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

Hi Martin - more likely to be a Holly Blue at this time of year! See

The undersides of the Common Blue and Holly Blue are quite different.
Cheers,
- Pete
