Hardly any activity to report this month and a big contrast to the number of reports which came in from this time last year viewtopic.php?f=110&t=8703#p106546
So far only a freshly emerged Small White photographed by Barry Warrington in East Yorkshire on 2nd December (apparently in an urban location). It was reported on Twitter https://twitter.com/B_Warrington/status ... wsrc%5Etfw

A Clouded Yellow sighted at Southbourne Undercliff near Bournmouth on 4th December by Mike Gibbons.
The micro climate on this very sheltered south-facing coastal site can often result in winter sightings of this species and it is also well positioned to receive early migrants from the continent.

Another Clouded Yellow (a male) was then photographed at the same site by Mike Gibbons on 29th December. Reported on UKB sightings forum viewtopic.php?t=9154&start=0#p116224

Lots of sightings of Red Admiral (via Twitter) over the holiday period; I saw one myself! Crazy.

Cheers,
