Exif data.

I've noticed that most of the pics in the Summer 2015 competition are showing their exif data but mine is not.

I always use "save as" when editing any pics and can get the exif data from the originals but not once I've played with them.

I use Canon Zoom Browser to transfer the pics from the memory card to the computer - a programme called *Photo Editor* to crop and resize and sometimes *Neat Image* for noise reduction. Link to the editor I use :- http://pho.to/editor/

Is one of these operations removing the exif data?

Hi Ayjay,

I'd take a look at the EXIF data in the file at each step of the process to figure out which is removing it, and then see if the relevant programme has settings that will allow you to retain the EXIF data.

Cheers,

- Pete

Thanks Pete, I sort of came to that conclusion myself today whilst wandering around somehow not seeing any butterflies.

I think writing the question helped me to see the way to a possible answer more clearly.

The PhotoEditor programme purports to maintain the exif data, so I'll have to test it out.

Another rainy day job scheduled.
