Today near Nairn, several whites flying over and near a ripe Broad Bean field that was no longer in flower. At one point, three could be seen at the same time.

Only one enabled close inspection when it alighted by the roadside. It was a male Green-veined White. GV Whites are not common here (unlike my previous location, Isle of Mull). The numbers seen over that bean field point to that possibly being used as a food plant. But I had never heard or read of beans being used.

Are you able to have a look amongst the beans to see if there's any wild Crucifers growing there? I would imagine this would be a likely attractant.
