I've just returned from Slovenia and would appreciate some help/second opinions on the ID of a few butterflies, mostly seen in woodland areas in the Julian Alps.
1. Unidentified blue 2. Southern White Admiral? 3. Heath Fritillary? 4. Woodland Brown? 5. False Heath Fritillaries? 6. Dark Green Fritillary? 7. Scotch Argus? 8. White Admirals? 9. Cleopatra? 10. High Brown Fritillary?

1 is a holly blue.
2 and 8a are Hungarian gliders, while 8b is a white admiral.
3 and 4 are heath fitillary and woodland brown, as you say.
5a and b look like Nickerl's fritillary to me - others may disagree! I'll come back to them when I have more time if no one else gives a definitive answer.
6 is dark green fritillary, as you say.
7 looks like Arran brown.
9 - I'd probably go for brimstone rather than Cleopatra, unless you saw the upperside and know ...
10 is a high brown fritillary, again, as you say.
