Hello

I was lucky to take a couple of photos of a Hummingbird Hawkmoth in Menorca, Spain.... last October 2014

The photos show the results..and it was pot luck only (honest)

Their wing speed was very fast for any photo output ... and it worked in a way

I had never seen a Hummingbird Hawkmoth at all until this day, and I was very impressed by them

Regards
Kathy

Nice photos Kathy...
... and if you keep your eyes peeled, you may well see one over here later in the year. Fantastic moths and so fast when they want to get from A to B. :)

They are amazing things.
Here is one I took with my mobile last year in Cornwall, talking of flukes!

Nice pictures - a good way of finding them over here is that they congregate on rocks/bare ground out of the wind at the summits of prominent hills, Helman Tor in mid-Cornwall and Solsbury Hill above Bath springing to mind.
