Hey Charles,
If you had guessed a name, might you have said a Winter Moth? Operophtera brumata.

My best guess would be a male Winter Moth but difficult to say with any certainty from the underside alone.

Thanks for your help Trev !! There were 3 of these little chaps on the French Windows.
