A freshly emerged Small White was seen in a North Somerset garden on 24th December by UKB member Matsukaze. viewtopic.php?t=8075&start=20#p93848.
It is thought to have possibly pupated in the house.

These types of un-seasonal outdoor sightings usually result from a pupa located in a greenhouse or shed, but also if a larva manages to get under the eaves of the house and pupates in the loft space.

29th December. I saw a Small Tortoiseshell today basking at 11:30am at Porthgwarra in Cornwall, amazing considering last nights heavy frosts.
