White-letter Hairstreaks & Elms

Are the new disease resistant Elm hybrids suitable for White-letter Hairstreaks and if so, how much work is done in the UK, planting these Elms to help this butterfly?

I don't know about the Hybrid Elms but I know that it's prefered foodplant, Wych Elm is more resistant than English Elm to the disease.

We (BC Sussex) also planted a mix of these resistant cultivars a few years back, on the BC Park Corner Heath Reserve, Steyning Downland Scheme area, and in a private woodland - all are growing well now. I would like to see many more whips purchased and planted. Congratulations to Andrew Brookes and associates for their work on these DED-resistant strains.
