Hi and thanks Pete for your reply to my previous post,
As you may be aware, I have been working on some slightly different ways of presenting things. I don't think this is anything particularly new but I do know others are looking at different ways of presenting their work.
I have included this youtube link here for reference. I am not sure that there is a space for this sort of thing, so I have not put it in a video category on UK Butterflies :

Basically, I have been using the Windows Movie Maker and instead of dragging Video clips in to edit them, I have been importing Pictures then playing around with the animations and visual effects to produce something a bit more lively ! The above clip is a composition of pictures which has then been exported as a WMV or MP4 file instead of jpeg (pictures). It is not meant to be a finished work of art but is an example to show what can be done. It is something hurriedly put together, I am sure others could do much better.
One tip I can give (as I have learned from experience) is not to reuse the exported file and import it back into the movie maker as the quality of the exported file will degrade each time this is done. Another tip is to crop pictures widescreen first instead of 4 X 3 so that the black lines on either side do not appear. I hope this helps for anyone interested,

Best Wishes,
Philip
