This photo was taken from inside my kitchen window, the moth was looking in from outside
Can anyone give it an ID please Goldie

not a great deal to go on with the wings closed like that. but if I had to guess (not a definitive ID) my guess would have to common marbled carpet.

Not much to go on with an underside view...I'd guess at one of the Common May/June Carpets same as ChrisC has...
I'd have gone Dark-Barred Twin Spot Carpet...but its really just a guess...
