Hey guys,

First post here, so I hope this is ok!
Great posts I've looked through so far, and a lovely website depicting the various species.

I have spotted the following on my regular walk to work, I saw one the other day but didn't manage to grab a photo, however today I was successful.

Is it particularly rare? I have never seen one with quite these colourings before...

Hi Andrew,

It's actually a moth, the Cinnabar.

At Eyarth Rocks, today, and there was a positive explosion of Cinnabar Moths - literally hundreds! It was difficult to avoid stepping on them. There were also good numbers of PBFs in sparkling condition. I thought it might have been a bit late, but it's still well worth a visit.

Hey guys. thanks for the reply! Sorry it wasn't a butterfly, but good to know what it is!

Seen loads of these in Lincoln's West end over the weekend, very pretty!
