With the sunshine not where I was on Saturday last, I ended up with the boys in Stratford-upon-Avon by dint of an incredibly cheap train ticket from Coventry. It was chilly and grey and we ended up in the warmth of the Butterfly House, where there were several species I had never seen before in these places.

I would welcome IDs for all those below, which incidentally were far from all the species that were flying.

I'm not sure about no. 4 but for the others, you have:

1 Danaus genutia (female)
2 Hamadryas laodamia (male)
3 Myscelia ethusa (male)
4
5 Biblis hyperia
6 Eumaeus toxea
7 Myscelia ethusa (female)
8 Morpho polyphemus
9 Anartia amathea
10 Siproeta stelenes

Sorry to answer in haste, just with the Latin names - we're an hour later here and I'm up at the crack of dawn tomorrow!

Great shots Dave

And a big help to me as I had a "No 7" from Bristol Zoo and I couldn't work our why it didn't look like the majority of the images for ethusa on Google etc - but now I know that it's the female
