I think this may be a Large Dart Potanthus serina - it was certainly big enough. It had a tremendous burst of speed and rocked the foliage when it took off. It was the same sort of length as the 'Paintbrush', but much heavier. I think I was a bit exuberant, yesterday, with my assessment of the size of the PBD - 36/38mm would be nearer the mark .

I was also fortunate to happen on a compliant Striped Albatross. They normally tear about the place and are very difficult to approach. Much more beautiful in life, than in a photograph.

Those are both lovely skippers. I am sorry I can't help with identification!

It has now been confirmed that this Skipper is a male Plain Palm Dart Cephrenes acalle, courtesy of someone from the Singapore Butterfly Circle.
