Hi,

Still sorting pics from 2009/10 and came across these ringlets with no or non ringed spots on forewing and small white and extra spot on hind, I think one is ab. arete the others ?
Any help gratefully received (Pete I will read the Aberrant paper promise not cold or dark enough yet)

The first I believe to be ab. arete. Can't find definitions for the others (but only had a quick scan).

That second individual is amazing.

The absence of the customary 'ringlets' of the second one highlights the darker postdiscal lines. Never noticed those before and it shows up the evolutionary throw-back to some of the other satyrids. Lovely photo.
