It could be worth checking your Pelargoniums and Geraniums or take a visit to the local garden centre as Geranium Bronze has again been recorded in Sussex.

Where else and how many are there?
I bet there are more to be seen.

I have been in touch with Gordon Jarvis, who made the sighting in his garden at Peasmarsh, East Sussex and he has kindly allowed this photo to be added to the Species-Specific Album.

I would welcome any views as to the sex of this butterfly. At the moment I am reading this as a female, based upon the size and shape of the abdomen.

Hi Vince,
Having checked out available literature, I am drawn to the same conclusion as you.
Kind regards. Mark

Thanks Mark
I'm going to call this a female unless there are any more comments.
