I know this is the Butterfly forum, but thought you may like to see these anyway, an unexpected opportunity arose yesterday and I managed to get a few shots.

Very nice. Did you use auto or manual focus? I have a feeling that the noise of the autofocus on my Canon S3 spooks them as they only tolerate me taking two or three shots at a time before flying away.

I used autofocus, theres no way I could have focused manually, it was far to quick and only hovered in one place for a second or so.
Had to use flash as well because the bush was in complete shade of a building at around 4pm
Quite pleased considering its the built in flash on my D50
