I am new to butterflies & Moths and cannot find this fellow in my books so I ask for help please. I took the photo on a bright sunny day on scrub land in Corby NN17 on Friday 7th June 2013.

Probably few moths that resemble a small butterfly more than these (along with Mother Shiptons). They even have a similar 'buzzy' flight to Dingy Skippers and to make matters worse they're flying with them right now!

In the field,the Burnet Companion, which you have photographed, can be confused with the Dingy Skipper. They often fly together, and look and behave in similar ways.

Mike is certainly correct about them looking and behaving in similar ways. At Llanymynech Rocks last weekend, I saw both species together trying to mate. Even they seem to proned to mistaken identity too.

Not sure if you are aware but the first picture is of a Brown Argus. It appears to be a worn male.
