This is the link to the BADA shop on EBay.
The charity that researches Lymes disease, and supports sufferers gets funded if you buy from this site.
The hooks really work. I have two sets, one in the bathroom at home, and one in my camera bag.
They also sell various sprays etc that discourage ticks.

For as much info on ticks and Lyme disease as you could ever want.

Well worth our support I reckon.

Two got me at Haugh Woods, Herefordshire a week or so back, first time the b****rs have managed to get me, left two marks the size of a sixpenny piece on my lower calf, I did'nt feel a thing during my visit to the woods and ended up having the 'wounds' checked out at Dawlish Hospital in Devon, early last week, annoyingly it was during a holiday break. I have now had to rethink precautions, I've had a good (or lucky) run avoiding them up until now.

This is a very useful thread, I would caution all UK Butterflyer's to take heed of the advice provided here.

Bill :(

What is it about Haugh Wood? My legs STILL haven't recovered from the fly bites they received over TWO years ago and now it appears it's a haven for ticks too.

Even though last Saturday was cool, I still took my 'DEET' as the biting insects in that wood seem more numerous by far than anywhere else I've ever visited.
