I was so pleased to see the new publication "Swiss Butterflies" as flagged up by Peter on the front page of the website. You see,I have been to Kandersteg some dozen times in the past between the New Year and the beginning of June, and never noticed a butterfly. So this year I have already booked to go there with friends in July to see what really is happening.I know the area well, and want to see what damage the tourists might have done compared with the Valais side.Or rather what new butterflies we can find.
So I sent off for the publication,it came by return, and is just what we needed. My friends-old vets-can now help as spotters.
I must say the photo's are excellent and the advice on accessing the Swiss website will be invaluable.
Thanks to Guy, Peter and anyone else involved in producing it.

I'm glad you like it, P.J. I thought Jason did a splendid job. Although I provided a few photos, and met him on a couple of occasions, all the work was his and neither Pete nor I can take any credit for it!

I hope you have a great time in July in Kandersteg. It's very difficult to be anywhere in the high Alps at that time of year without seeing loads of exciting stuff. I'll be zooming around on my bike just the other side of the mountain range, in Valais ...
