Time to start reviewing your photos from the past season and to think warm thoughts

The format will be the same as last year and will run for 20 weeks over the winter months.

Starting on Monday 15th October, three species will be showcased per week, taking us through to the end of February 2013.

Please excercise restraint when posting images and wait until the topic for any particular species has been opened by me. Further details will be posted at the start of each week and reminders issued when necessary.

Are we doing the "Faves" in alphabetical order like last year or by taxonomic grouping, emergence month etc? I was just wondering so I can start looking through for the first three for next week?

Hi Wurzel,

It will be in alphabetical order, the same as last year. I think it's best doing it that way, although I would welcome all comments at this stage.

I'm very much looking forward to seeing all the photos and it will hopefully help us all to get through the winter. By the time we get to "Wood White" we should be seeing Red Admiral and Brimstone on the wing

So where do I find it? This morning I saw mention of one of this week's species of which I happen to have a recent daguerreotype but by the time I had found the file the posting no longer appeared under Recent Posts and I can't trace the thread. Do I need to slip someone a fiver to be allowed to play?
