Worn and battered Hairstreak

Can anyone help me with the ID of this very worn and battered Hairstreak I found today sat on my buddleia? I've never seen a Haistreak before and it was a surprise to find one in my garden.

Looks like a Purple Hairstreak to me.

You can just make out the lines on the underside of the forewings, and the red dot on the hindwing.

Thanks Pete, I've just checked the Purple Hairstreak pictures on your site and reading the description etc. I'd have to agree. I have a small oak wood right next to my house. I'm just more surprised that I've never noticed a Hairstreak here before.
