Hi all,

Ive recently set up a Brown Hairstreak blog, similar to The Purple Empire, that im hoping will become just as successful. The aim is to have as many contributors as possible to post sightings, observations, research, photographs, trip reports etc from around the country, including reports on the work many of us "Streakers" do in the winter/spring with egg searching and caterpillar hunting.

The blog only went live less than a week ago and already we have a number of people signed up to contribute, including Matthew Oates, Neil Hulme, Pete Eeles, Mike Williams (West Mids BH Champ) and Richard Smith (S Wales BH Champ) to name a few. I still have lots of promotion to do and its early days yet but i think it will be a fantastic resource if we can get enough people taking part, especially from a variety of different regions. Ultimately, i hope that this blog will help promote awareness of the Brown Hairstreak and encourage more people to get involved any way they can.

If anyone would like to contribute and become a blogger, please drop me an email at eorlingas@gmail.com and i will send you an email invite with instructions on how to join. Its really easy to sign up and posting a blog is very simple.

If anyone has been out Brownie hunting recently, we need your trip reports!

So, here it is: ASH BROWNIES :)

If anyone has any questions, do get in touch!
