Hi all

I think I have these correct but would be grateful for any corrections, confirmations and help with these ID please. All shots taken recently in the Tarn et Garonne region.

I think this one is Weaver's frit (Boloria dia), the sharp angled hindwing from the underside shot being characteristic.
Next one I have tentatively as Knapweed frit (Melitaea phoebe), hope I'm right.
Unfortunately I didn't get a photograph of the top side of this one (it wasn't going anywhere for a while) but I think it is Glanville frit (Melitaea cinxia), not overly familiar with this species as I've only seen it once in the UK.
Finally these are everywhere at the moment, their tireless nectaring is amazing.

Hi Bill. You're spot on with your fritillary IDs. The moth is presumably a hummingbird hawk moth. I've never seen one from that angle before!

Phase 2, I think I have most of these correct except for the last one, but as ever confirmation would be gratefully received.

This I have as High Brown Fritillary
Queen of Spain
Finally is this Heath Fritillary. Other possibilities are Meadow or perhaps another Knapweed frit. Sorry for the poor photo but it was resting on my sandal...

PS - If anyone knows what plant the Queen of Spain was on I'd be most interested to know that, it was everywhere this year and too monocultured to be a weed but we just didn't recognise it.

I'm 100% in agreement with your first two and very confident that your third is Heath.
