MAGDALEN HILL DOWN - THIS WEEKEND - WARNING

Is anybody is planning a visit to Magdalen Hill Down, Winchester between now and the weekend? BE WARNED there is a large outdoor music festival on very close by
Anyone coming from the east, Guildford, Alton direction would be advised to avoid coming on the direct route down the A31 from Alresford. I would think tomorrow would be the worst day with people arriving. Traffic could be bad.
I got stuck in it today at Alresford and ended up taking a big detour to get from Alresford to Winchester. Foot travellers everywhere of all descriptions including one guy I saw walking down the hard shoulder whilst juggling and trying to hitch a lift from Winchester

The festival called 'Boomtown' occupies fields between the A31 and A272 between Alresford and Winchester (close to Winchester)
