Fritillary...but which one?

I visited Heddon's Mouth (Exmoor) on Tuesday. After an extremely foggy morning, the sun came out for literally five minutes and several Fritillaries appeared. Unfortunately, this is the only (clear) photo I managed to take before the sun disappeared, along with the Fritillaries!

Is this a High Brown or a Dark Green?

You've certainly posed a bit of a tester from that angle
I may be shot down in flames by someone with far better identification skills than me, but I reckon it is a High Brown...
There seems to be a brown spot on the 3rd cell down on the underwing and I can also see what looks like a black "M" lower down on the same wing (presumably showing through from the upper surface due to the strong sunlight).

I agree.

I took the liberty of rotating and stretching the hindwing to reveal its markings better and this is what I got:

The spot indicated, which Trev mentions, surely means this is high brown...
