A visit to Crete

Visiting this island 12 - 26 June. Staying east end of island (Hersonissos). Any suggestions for good Butterfly areas within 1-2 hours drive?

I've only ever been to Crete on a 'lad's' holiday back in the 90s, but there are areas of elevation on the island where you may find some unexpected species.
