Moth ID please

Seen this morning at about 170 metres altitude in the Alpes-Maritimes:

I also saw this:

which I assume is a Speckled Yellow (Pseudopanthera macularia).

Hi Colin, you're top image is probably Pyrausta purpuralis, but P. ostrinalis cannot be ruled out. Without a shot of the underside it's difficult to tell for certain, see here:

Thanks Nigel,

Looking at various photos on Internet, it is difficult to choose between P. ostrinalis and P. purpuralis.
