Chequered Skipper weekend by Glasgow & SW Scotland branch of BC.

Visit well known Chequered Skipper site at Glasdrum NNR, near Oban on the Saturday - Pearl-bordered Fritillary may also be on the wing.
On the Sunday you may wish to head off to historical Chequered Skipper sites in North Argyll or Lochaber.
Meet at Glasdrum NNR car park OS grid NN001454 at 10.30AM.
(If the Saturday is rained off, the CS event will be re-scheduled for the Sunday.)

For early birds previous night's moth trapping ID from 8.00AM.

Walking boots, warm waterproof clothing, packed lunch and water required.
Ticks are present in the area so please take appropriate precautions.

Thanks for the info. I can't make the Saturday as I don't arrive in Oban from Mull until late afternoon but certainly plan a visit on the Sunday. Sounds like my long-range timing has not been that far wrong.
