On moving some logs in the back garden and came across this and would like to know what it is and what it would become ..thanks

A wild guess would be a moth, something like orange underwing.

Might be one of the Noctuid moths judging by the size and colour. If you still have it, you could put it in some damp newspaper in a box and see what emerges - let us know if you find out!
