Spanish spring butterflies

Post by Ian Pratt »

I have just come back from visiting one of my sons who lives in Algeciras in Andalucia, southern Spain, and although the weather was good the butterflies were not as prolific as I had hoped. Nonetheless I did get some good photos of Spanish Festoon and saw Clouded Yellow, Spanish Swallowtail,Cleopatra, Painted Lady, Red Admiral and various unidentified whites. Highlight was a lammergeier in the mountains north of Estepona!

Lovely photos of the festoon, Ian.

I'd be interested in seeing your unidentified whites photos.
