Well I'm sure most of you remember me bothering everyone on the forum for site directions. I went to Dorset from Cheshire last Saturday stopping at Noar Hill on the way. I had some precise directions thanks to Pete and arrived at the specified spot to find a bloke already watching a Brown Hairstreak which posed for photos on and off for about 30 minutes. Saw another two as I walked back to the car. The rest of the week was supposed to be taken up with getting good photos of Lulworth Skipper, Wall, Clouded Yellow and Chalkhill Blue. The next day was perfect weather so we went to Durlston. Basically I saw and photographed the lot adequately within an hour. Can't complain but it sort of put us at a lose end for the week.
Was forced to do mammals, birds and reptiles. I haven't actually downloaded my photos yet but fingers crossed, I may enter something for the competition if it's still open. If nothing else it'll show how absolutely brilliant everyone elses photos are on this forum.
Thanks to everyone who helped me out on this trip. I've only two species to go now before I've photographed all British residents and regular migrants. (Mountain Ringlet and Essex Skipper)

That'll teach me not to look further afield. I visited Ravensroost wood and meadow reserves today looking for brown hairstreak. Admittedly the weather was overcast, but butterflies in general were very thin on the ground, and of brown hairstreaks there were none.
Well done Dave.
