This thread follows on from my previous appeal for images for use on the Species Identification Pages viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4954

Work on updating these albums continues and all stages of the Whites have now been completed (both Primary and Secondary species). One notable gap was filled in Wood White (robsol1982 :D ) from the images contained within the backlog and there was a stunning Cleopatra male upperside from johnb. Some fresh images were submitted, allowing for a number of the older and poorer quality ones to be replaced. (Thanks go to millerd, Mark colvin and NickB). Check all of the images here:- http://www.ukbutterflies.co.uk/species_ ... tage=imago and then click on the species name for more details. No images were deleted in the review, but only the best 20 appear in the "Core Media" for each species. The exception to this is Green-veined White which needs more images in order to better illustrate the differing appearance of the Spring and Summer broods.

There are still some gaps of uppersides in the Whites, but these are mainly of species that do not bask or rest with wings open. However, I think it is possible that there is an image of an open-winged female Clouded Yellow somewhere out there. I recall seeing one, but cannot remember where. An upperside of a male Bath White should also be possible. Can anyone help with these and, if so, post any images directly into the Species-Specific Album.

On a seperate issue, I would like to make better use of Clive's delightful underside image of a Large White, but cannot decide if it's a male or a female. Does anyone have a view on this please?

Many thanks to all those who have contributed images so far :D
